Zip and Link mattresses offers the possibility to join to single beds together when a double bed is required.

This option can be added to any mattress/divan type. The bases are locked together to ensure they do not separate and the mattresses zip along both the top edge and the lower edge where they but up against each other. This guarantees that the double bed is fixed firmly in place. Choose 2 x 2'6" single beds to form a 5' King size double or 2 x 3' singles to form a 6' super king double.

What style and finish of oak best suits your particular style of house in France? If you have an older property then you may well decide to go for the darker oak ranges, these include the Rustic and Verseilles oak designs combining a traditional look with a finish more in keeping with darker beams and floor boards.

However, if your property is more recently constructed, then it may allow you to consider ranges such as the very popular New oak, Loire oak, Burgundy or Harvester ranges. These styles may be more in keeping with the more open, well light rooms of the house, their finish and design of a more contemporary, up to date look and feel.

All ranges of oak offer numerous items within the bedroom and living ranges. Everything comes as solid one piece items , except the wardrobes that are constructed on site, due to their size and weight. All the drawers of all items have dovetailed joints, with tongue and grooved bases, all carcasses also feature tongue and grooved back.

That depends on so many factors on which we can cannot give anything beyond general advice, because a bed is a very personal matter. A couple of points to bear in mind.

If you are tall then you may prefer a low foot end bed that allows you to dangle you feet over the end of the mattress, however no one wants to wake up with cold feet because they are projecting out over the end, so you may prefer a high foot end design.

Also, how many people will be sleeping in the bed and do you like your own personal space if you sleep alongside your partner? We offer beds up to 6' superking size, but then it depends on whether the room will take a bed of that size.

You and your partner may prefer different firmness of mattress, so why not consider two different zip and link singles, for either a 5' or 6' bed - 2 x 2'6" or 2 x 3'.

Finally, what sort of sleeper are you? You may lie still all night or you might like to sprawl around until you find the right position to drop off. Bear all this in mind, then use the answers to these questions to make the appropriate choice.

We have simplified the options into 5 categories, when it comes to mattress selection. Essentially the more dense the spring count within the mattress the firmer the feel. A 3000 pocket mattress will give you a good firm feel, (7/10), the density of springs offering great support and with many mattresses these days being double sprung in the central area that takes the most weight.

For a slightly less firm feel consider a mattress with at least 2000 pocket springs, although having the same basic specification, will offer a medium/firm feel (6/10). Moving down the firmness scale a 1000 pocket sprung mattress (5/10), will, due to the lower density of springs, give a softer spongier feel as you lie on it - some may consider this as the ideal mattress, but perhaps not ideal if you have any lower back problems.

There is also the option of a 1000 pocket sprung mattress with a 50mm layer of memory foam (5/10) - the ultimate in sumptuousness. For a very firm option perhaps consider an open coil mattress, which will give the firmest fell of all due to the stiffer springs and mattress makeup. Zip and link options available on all singles as well as non standard European sizes.

It can help if you can bring any items in the room that the sofa has to work with i.e.,curtains, cushions etc to ensure you may make the right choices.

You will also need to try out the seat Cushion options, these vary from soft and sumptuous to very firm. We can also alter the height of the back cushions to ensure you have good head support, essential for maximum comfort.
